pindorama

lia rodrigues companhia de danças/ collaboration

How to approach, once again, the possible relationships of being together? Mixing until diluted? Affirming limits and singularities? What rituals, sacrifices and agreements would be necessary for the formation of a collective, even if temporary? What landscapes to create for Pindorama - indigenous name given to Brazilian lands before the arrival of Europeans? Cycles of death, transformation, life.
“Pindorama” debuted in November 2013 at the Festival d'Automne in Paris, with a special invitation to tour inside the city of Paris, being presented in 4 different theaters within the program of what is the most prestigious festival in France. With all the presentations packed, “Pindorama” received an excellent review in the newspaper Le Monde: “A piece of transparent plastic, water, naked bodies, silence… After Pororoca (2009), which designates an immense wave born from the encounter of the ocean with a rio, by Piracema (2010), which designates a counter-current, always in the Tupi language, Pindorama completes a trilogy on the water with incisive precision… We are in the theater, but we plunge into a sweeping sea… A madness of fleeting and beautiful situations … ”
